BAYELSA APC GETS BOOST AS DIRI/AKPE BELIEVERS HONOURS OGORIBA WITH PATRON TITLE

The Bayelsa State chapter of Diri/Akpe Believers has paid a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba, at the party’s secretariat in Yenagoa.

Speaking during the visit, the Director-General of the group, Hon. Douyi Willy, congratulated Hon. Ogoriba on his emergence as the APC Chairman in Bayelsa State.

Willy commended the APC Chairman for the innovative ideas and fresh energy he has brought to the party since assuming office, noting that his leadership had repositioned the party for greater unity and electoral success in the state.

The group also used the occasion to brief the APC Chairman on the aims and objectives of Diri/Akpe Believers.

The delegation explained that the group was established to mobilise grassroots support, promote good governance and advocate for the continuity of the developmental policies of the Prosperity Administration under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, and his Deputy, Pastor Peter Pereotubo Akpe.

According to the group, the policies and programmes of the administration have continued to impact positively on the lives of the people of Bayelsa State.

In recognition of his leadership and commitment to the growth of the party, the delegation formally requested Hon. Ogoriba to accept the position of Patron of Diri/Akpe Believers, Bayelsa State.

Responding, Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba expressed appreciation to the group for the visit and for the confidence reposed in him by the appointment.

He pledged to work with the group and other stakeholders towards strengthening the APC in Bayelsa State, fostering unity within the party and ensuring electoral victory in future elections.

Ogoriba also commended Diri/Akpe Believers for its vision and grassroots mobilisation efforts, assuring the group of his support as it pursues its objectives of grassroots engagement and advocacy for good governance.

The high point of the visit was the presentation of the letter of appointment as Patron to Hon. Ogoriba, followed by prayers and a group photograph.
