The Executive Chairman of Bayelsa State Physical Planning and Development Board, TPL Hon. Kuroakegha Dorgu led a tour to several locations in Yenagoa, the state capital, to evaluate ongoing projects and ensure that they had been approved by the Board.

TPL Hon Kuroakegha Dorgu encouraged contractors to collaborate with the board before starting any new construction projects, both public and private, to avoid delays and ensure that the Board can help them meet all necessary requirements. He also discussed the state government’s commitment to the prosperity and security of Bayelsa State residents.
The Board Chairman also expressed his dissatisfaction with “big men” who initiate projects without seeking approval from the Board, noting that “it’s not business as usual.” He urged public members to seek approval from the Board before commencing any new developments.
During the tour, the Board’s Executive Directors accompanied TPL (Hon.) Kuroakegha Dorgu, who included High Chief Marcus Oloye, Executive Director of Operations, Francis Ikio, Esq., Executive Director of Legal, Mr. Willy Oyadougha, Executive Director of Finance and Accounts, and Mr. Numa Davis IGiran, Secretary of the Board.
Also present were TPL Ineye Cole, Director of Development Control, TPL Ockia Oba, Deputy Director of Master Plan and Urban Renewal, and Mr. Gbalipre Stanley Imgbi, Head of the PR Unit. The Chairman emphasized the importance of community participation in renewal strategies, highlighting that urban renewal must embrace the people it serves.
