At the South-South Governors’ Forum meeting in Bayelsa, I was further honoured by my colleagues with a celebration that was truly touching. The honour is indicative of the power of unity and the prioritization of the development of our region over political differences.

As you assume this new mantle of leadership, I am confident that your tenure will further strengthen the bonds between the South-South states and drive impactful initiatives that will promote economic growth, cultural integration, and sustainable development in the region.”

As South-South Governors, we support Mr. President’s Tax Reform Bill. However, we also urged him to extend the proposed VAT sharing percentages to other areas of derivation, such as oil and gas.
