The Bayelsa State Governor Sen. Douye Diri has inaugurated the 7th Bayelsa State House of Assembly and congratulated the newly elected Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Deputy Speaker, Hon. Michael Ogbere, and all other members of the House.
Governor Diri urged the legislators to prioritize the interests of the people and work collaboratively with the government to improve the quality of life for the people of Bayelsa State.
He also appreciated the sacrifices and service of the immediate past 6th Assembly and emphasized the importance of separation of powers, stating that it is not a call to arms.
The Governor urged the lawmakers to put aside partisan bickering and approach their task with a spirit of unity and inclusiveness.
He also pledged his government’s unwavering commitment to working with the House of Assembly in pursuit of their shared goal of improving the quality of life for the people of Bayelsa State.
The inauguration was a significant step towards the development of Bayelsa State, and the Governor’s message of unity and inclusiveness is a call to action for the lawmakers to work together for the betterment of the state.
