The CEO of Gaius Craft and Chief Priest of the Egbegiala Deity of Ikibiri, Mr. Gaius Obiene Idoubo, has generously gifted six canoes to six elder women of the community and constructed a one-bedroom apartment for a worshipper as part of his efforts to give back to the community.

Speaking at the launch of the empowerment programme in Ikibiri, Chief Priest Gaius Obiene Idoubo said, “It was a profoundly memorable day in my beloved hometown, Ikibiri-Ekpetiama, nestled within the Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.”
“In my unwavering commitment to give back to the society that shaped me, I, under the auspices of the Egbegiala Foundation, launched an empowerment initiative that brought joy and renewed hope to many. As part of this programme, six boats were graciously presented to six industrious women, and financial support was extended to numerous youths, women, and men of our cherished community.”
“Furthermore, I commenced the construction of a one-bedroom apartment for Mr. Akposeiya Levi, fondly known as ‘Chairmo,’ a project that will be completed in the near future.”

“I remain steadfast in my resolve to contribute, in my humble way, to the upliftment and progress of our society.”
Egbegiala is a prominent deity worshipped by the Ikibiri people, believed to be the god of wealth. Other deities revered by the Ikibiri include Opugula (god of war), Egboso (god of protection), Aforibi-asain (god of wind and thunder), and Borikagbe (god of fertility).

The Ikibiri people believe that deities like Egbegiala reward good conduct and punish wrongdoing, ensuring justice and balance within the community.
