Elders, Women and Youths of Ogobiri Federated Community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has unanimously called on the former Vice Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Council, Chief Emmanuel Okosikeme to contest for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly election in Sagbama Constituency 2.

Hotnews reports that elders, women and youths of Ogobiri community on Thursday 2, March, 2026, unanimously called on the former vice chairman to join the house of assembly race in the constituency in a community meeting held at the community town hall.
The federated community, which is the maternal home of the people-oriented politician, Chief Okosikeme, made the call of endorsement after thorough consideration of their illustrious son track-record of performance in service to the people of the constituency.
According to the federated community statement, Chief Okosikeme posses the rare leadership attributes required for purposeful and effective leadership that transcends towards rendering selfless service to the constituency; which is the rationale behind the call to contest the state assembly election.
“Our collective resolve of endorsement was borne out of the creek politician publicly known as Okemiesia whose lifestyle, and generous deeds demands unwavering support from the people he has served diligently over the years.
At a time when leadership demands more than rhetoric, the capacitated former vice chairman demonstrates a careful detailed understanding of the socio-political and economic realities in our contemporary political system that shape the constituency collective future of discipline, integrity, vision.
