In a recent meeting with the boss of the National Population Commission (NPC), President Bola Tinubu expressed his disappointment in the delay of conducting another census in the country.

He emphasized that this delay should be an opportunity for the commission to take advantage of electronic and digital technologies for an accurate data collection system.

President Tinubu also called for the NPC to take into account the migration of people to urban centers due to poverty and unemployment during the demarcation process.
He further highlighted the importance of having a reliable database in Nigeria for effective planning and disaster management purposes.

The President pledged his support to the NPC in preparation for the next census scheduled for 2023.
