With the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) final football match between Nigeria and Cote D’ivoire on Sunday, Governor Diri is calling on all Bayelsans and Nigerians at large to join hands and cheer on the Super Eagles as they aim for victory.
His Excellency believes that through unity and support, the team will be inspired to give their all on the field and bring glory to the nation.
Fans and supporters are urged to visit any of the three open and free public viewing centres sponsored by the state government and watch the match live at the Kpansia Primary School Field, OMPADEC Primary School Field and Tombia Roundabout, respectively, and show their support online, using the hashtag #GreaterBayelsaSupportsSuperEagles to share messages of encouragement and unit.
“Let us all come together to rally behind our beloved team and show the world the strength and passion of Nigerian football”, he said.
