Under the prosperity administration of Governor Douye Diri, Bayelsa has become that choice destination where security of lives and property s secured, infrastructures that open the state to hidden wealth in the East and Central district of the State is being opened with massive infrastructural development across the three Senatorial Districts.
The connection of the Mbiama-Yenagoa Road to the new Glory Drive expressway, including the construction of standard bridges over the Epie Creek with roundabouts at various points, such as the ongoing project at the Imgbi Road Junction area of Amarata, and other previously abandoned link roads that should connect communities in the coastal parts of the Yenagoa Municipal Development Area to the Bayelsa International Airport, is a clear indication of the prosperity administration’s direction.
In truth, Bayelsa State has not been fairly treated in the creation of Local Government Areas to the extent that today, we still have just 8 local government areas as opposed to some other states with 44 and 40 local government areas. That to us is a clear injustice!
