- Promise to restore lost dividends
The Executive Governor of Bayelsa State Sen. Douye Diri has expressed joy over the defection two prominent politicians Messrs Seiyefa Brisbe and Ebikitin Diongoli from the All-Progressives Party, APC, to his ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Diri said that he’s feeling really excited to have received two of his brothers, Professor Seiyefa Brisibe and Dr. Ebikitin Diongoli with their supporters back to his ruling great party, PDP from the APC.
“Professor Brisibe who was the APC Alternate DG of their Gubernatorial Campaign in 2019 and Dr. Diongoli, former Chairman of my LGA, Kolokuma/Opokuma, said to me that the time was ripe for them to leave APC as the party lacks discipline and organization”.
“I, therefore, wholeheartedly, welcome them back home and I have charged the leadership of our great party to fully integrate them back into PDP”.
“I have equally called on other members of our party still hibernating in the opposition APC to retrace their steps and return to their original party as the umbrella is big enough to accommodate all”.
“Your home is your home!”, he said.
Earlier in his address to the decampees at the PDP Secretariat in Yenagoa, the State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party Chief Solomon Aguana advised them not to despair but do the best they can and work for the party, stressing that by the grace of God the party would win all her elections.
“I believe that the dividends that has temporary eluded you when you went to APC, will certainly be restored”
“On that note, I have to thank all of you for the wise counsel and decision you have made. We’ll continue to work as partners in this party. And this greatest party does not belong to an individual. It’s your party, it’s our party, and together, we’ll set new records and success”, he said.
