…Encourages Regular Fitness Culture
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has expressed appreciation to participants of this Thursday’s Prosperity Road Walk for their impressive turnout.

Speaking after the regular fitness exercises that precede the weekly walk, Governor Diri said the activity was not just about winning the raffle draw but about maintaining good healt
“Whether we win the raffle draw or not, we are all winners. We’re winners because we’re taking care of our health,” the governor stated.
He encouraged participants to adopt the practice of brisk walking beyond the weekly event, emphasizing its benefits for physical fitness.

“For those who are not yet used to brisk walking, when you go home today, try it — start with one or two minutes, and gradually increase. Don’t deceive yourself that being slim means being fit; you may be slim, but when you come for the workout, you’ll find that some people who are bigger are actually fitter,” he said.
Governor Diri further advised participants to make the exercise a regular routine.
“I encourage everyone to continue this practice, not only on Thursdays but as often as possible — at least three or four times a week. I assure you, you’ll be as fit as a fiddle,” he added.

The governor also urged consistency among participants, regardless of his presence.
“Let it not be that this turnout happens only when the governor is around. Even when I’m away, I expect to see this level of participation because it’s for your own good and for the wellbeing of our people and government,” he concluded.

This week’s edition of the Bayelsa Prosperity Weekly Roadwalk was also by development partners from the State of Africa in the diaspora.
