Dr. Igali, who has previously served as Permanent Secretary and Ambassador to the Scandinavian countries, shared his insights on pressing national issues alongside Elder Zee Debekeme, another prominent Ijaw elder.
The encounter, described as a brief yet impactful session, provided a platform for dialogue between Dr. Igali and the BSTRC Chairman. The discussions focused on the challenges and aspirations of the Ijaw people and broader national matters, reflecting Dr. Igali’s enduring commitment to nurturing an equitable society.
A highlight of the visit was the exchange of revolutionary literature, with Dr. Igali receiving autographed copies of “Pirates of the Gulf” and “The Kingfisher,” two critically acclaimed works by Bubaraye Dakolo.
He expressed his gratitude after noticing his own blurb in “Pirates of the Gulf,” remarking, “I shall start with The Kingfisher today.
I am most grateful for these. And thank you so much for escalating our issues in this most effective contemporary manner. Ayebatari ila. Nua.”
