The Wife of the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs.) Gloria Diri, has stated that the successful inauguration of her pet project, The Woman of Today Development Association (TWOT) International, Nigeria, is one of her long-held visions realized.

Speaking in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, over the weekend, Mrs. Diri expressed her excitement and satisfaction, saying, “I’m not just excited but have a feeling of satisfaction that a dream has been birthed with the assembly and convergence of women of like minds ready to give back to society.”
“The empowered woman is not on the receiving end; rather, she is at the beginning of every development agenda.” TWOT focuses on self-awareness, consciousness, and fulfillment while keeping the interests of other women at heart.
“I believe every woman is endowed with natural and acquired leadership skills that enable multitasking with ease.”
“TWOT will leverage these skills, harnessing them to increase the chances of women taking on more responsibilities, especially in political, economic, academic leadership, decision-making, entrepreneurship, community engagement, and influencing positive changes in their areas of jurisdiction.”
“I am happy and very optimistic that TWOT has tied its knots, and the ball is rolling,” she added.
“We are writing history, and posterity will remember that we led the path for women’s inclusion towards sustainable development in society. No woman or girl deserves to be relegated.”
