The meeting was aimed at ensuring law and order in Ogbia Constituency Three following disagreement about the perceived relocation of the headquarters of the proposed Kolo Creek Local Government Area from Kolo community to Emeyal II.
Governor Diri admonished the political and traditional leadership of Ogbia Constituency Three to be tolerant and peaceful.

“For your information, nobody has created any local government area. When we got rumours of State and local government creation, I directed our people to put things together.
We made a submission to the National Assembly through the State House of assembly. What we did was to use the Rural Development Areas that were created long before now.

I don’t subscribe to protest over little misunderstandings. There are laid down rules to resolve disputes. Protest is the last thing to do.
We don’t need protest to disturb the peace and security in Bayelsa State. Let’s be tolerant and peaceful with each other”, Gov. Diri said.

Dignitaries at the meeting were Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Member representing Ogbia Constituency Three, Hon. Michael Ogbara, Secretary to the State government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, Commissioner of Mineral Resources, Hon. Peter Afagha, Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area, Hon. Golden Jeremiah.
