This follows the release of the first installment of the first year constituency development funds to contractors.

A press release issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity Mr. Enikioubi Ebipamene stated that the road construction specifications handed over is 400m x 6m without drainage. However, the Hon. Bonny Ayah having a clear understanding of the challenges his people experience during raining and flood seasons and of course in his continual determination of not compromising on the quality of projects he wish to deliver to his people has again added the construction of dual drainages for the two roads respectively thereby incurring the extra cost which is worthy of commendation.

Presently, contractors has been mobilized to the various sites and works are ongoing. For the road behind Government Secondary School, Okuloba-ama, construction of drainage and sand-filling is 50% done and it will be completed on or before 31st of October. While for the Oweidei and Okori roads respectively, clearing and construction of drainage has commenced concurrently.

The socioeconomic importance of the Oweidei-ama and Okori-ama roads cannot be overemphasized as it links the Oboro road to the other road that is yet to be constructed which is directly accessing the Niger Delta University gate. These roads when completed will give our people who own lands in those areas the opportunity to either develop theirs lands or sell it out for others to develop and consequently adding to the expansion and overall growth and development of Amassoma community.

It is a known fact that the Lawmaker’s sterling record of achievements particularly in terms of delivery of constituency development projects is impressive and unprecedented.

In his first tenure, from the construction of Amassoma Council of Chiefs secretariat to the remodeling and fencing of Amassoma Townhall, to beautification of the Amassoma roundabout/erection of Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha’s statue, installation of solar street lights, construction of major concrete roads across all the 3 wards in Amassoma, Otuan and Amatolo communities, amongst other numerous projects and empowerment programmes, the list is endless. His penchant for development is second to none indeed.

Following his developmental strides as mentioned above, projects will be spread across all the wards and communities. In similar vein, the Lawmaker is set to sponsor 10 persons for WAEC and JAMB from each compound across the constituency as party of his human empowerment programmes.

Lastly, the Honourable Ayah expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to every well meaning son and daughter of Amassoma for the love, support, understanding and patience showed to him from the time of his re-election to date. He also reiterated his firm commitment to always place the interest of his people over every personal interest.

“The growth and development of Amassoma is a collective responsibility of all and we must all come together, unite and speak with one voice because there is strength in unity. We should eschew every form of hatred and bitterness in view of our divergent and most times, opposing political interests”, he stated.
