Iteimo-owei Walter Okpoi, has congratulated the newly elected Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and Councillors of the Eight Local Government Areas on their resounding victory in the Bayelsa State Local Government Election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In an interview with Erevision MediaTV, Hon. Walter Okpoi expressed his gratitude to His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, for the appointment of Dr. Peter Akpe as chief of staff and Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei as Secretary to the State Government.
Furthermore, he commended Governor Diri for providing a fair playing field for the elections and praised the management of BYSIEC as well as the security agencies for ensuring peaceful conduct throughout the state.
Being a devoted member of the PDP in Ward 10, Ikibiri-Ekpetiama, Hon. Walter Okpoi stated that the overwhelming victory of all PDP candidates across the Eight Local Government Areas reflects the party’s strong presence in Bayelsa State.
He expressed confidence that the elected Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and Councillors would actively support the Prosperity Agenda of Governor Diri by fulfilling their roles with efficiency, credibility, and responsiveness.
He emphasized that their primary goal would be to deliver the fruits of democracy to their rural communities, fostering unity, peace, and progress for the people.
