Igali to Chair Amassoma Community’s Maiden End-of-Year Party and Honours in Port Harcourt

The Amassoma Community, Port Harcourt Branch, has extended a formal invitation to Ambassador (Dr.) Godknows Bolade Igali, OON, National Leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, to serve as Chairman of its maiden End-of-Year Party, Almanac Launch, and Award of Honours scheduled for Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Port Harcourt.

In a letter signed by Chief Host Opuama Akegbede JP, FCE and Secretary Innocent Kainga, the association described the event as a strategic platform aimed at complementing government’s efforts in education, security, water, sanitation, and other areas of development.

The Amassoma community, home to the Bayelsa State-owned Niger Delta University and one of the most populous autonomous communities in the Niger Delta, has brought together its illustrious sons and daughters in Port Harcourt to drive community advancement.

The organizers noted that the event would not only celebrate unity but also recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the community and society at large. Ambassador Igali will also be conferred with the prestigious “Most Prominent Outstanding Award” in recognition of his empowerment initiatives and leadership contributions.

Other dignitaries expected at the event include:

Chief Johnson Sinikiem Alalibo (PhD), INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner for Cross River State – Special Guest of Honour, Prince Etibimi Amgbare, Managing Director of Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA) – Guest of Honour, HRM King Oweipa Jones-Ere JP, Ogboin III, Ebenanaowei of Ogboin Clan – Royal Father of the Day, and HRH Godwill Akedesuo (Alomugidie VII), Acting Amananaowei of Amassoma – Father of the Day.

The programme is billed to hold at No. 10 Felix Obazee Avenue, Royal Palm Estate, Somitel, near Market Square, Peter Odili Road, Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt, with activities commencing at 1:30pm.

The letter emphasized that the event would provide a smooth, engaging experience for all attendees and foster fruitful collaborations towards community and societal advancement.
