The Census Manager for 2023 National Population and Housing Census Dr. Inuwa Bakari Jalingo has called on Nigerians to key into the census project.

“We tried to look at where we got is right and where we got it wrong. All is a build up to ensure that we give Nigerians credible, acceptable and reliable census.
“Part of what we have done here today is for all of us to stand up and affirm that we’re going to give Nigerians a credible and acceptable census.
“We have known where we have challenges, and we have made recommendations on how to correct it.
“By the grace of God we promise all Nigerians that the Commission under the leadership of Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra and the Hon. Federal Commissioners will give this country a very reliable and acceptable census that we’ll all be proud about.
It’s a transformative census and we’re all trying to make history out of it. We’re going to do everything possible to ensure that we carry Nigerians along as we implement the processes.
“What I want from Nigerians is their support, and their support. The census project is a big project, it’s for all Nigerians to participate, it’s not for the Commission alone to implement. The Commission is an implementing agency, but Nigerians at all levels, we need their cooperation, we need their support and we need their encouragement. We need them to key into it, it’s a national project, so that we can all deliver to this country, a credible census for national development and planning, and for international comparable data,” he said.
