In a bid to ensure the success of the forthcoming Population and Housing Census, the Chairman of the National Population Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, and his team visited the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja at the Nigerian Army’s Headquarters in Abuja.

During the visit, the Commission sought the support of the Nigerian Army in providing security cover for the field functionaries and materials during the census exercise.
The Chief of Army Staff expressed the readiness of the Nigerian Army to support the Commission in conducting the first digital census in Nigeria and offered further collaboration in other areas of interest beyond the census.
This strategic engagement with key stakeholders demonstrates the Commission’s commitment to ensuring a successful and accurate census in Nigeria.
