In a press statement issued on Friday, the group hailed the President’s presence as “a historic affirmation of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” noting that it reflects a deliberate effort to connect national policies with local realities across the Niger Delta region.
“Our dear President is not only visiting Bayelsa as the Commander-in-Chief, but as a statesman whose leadership continues to inspire unity, progress, and national confidence,” the statement read.
The OEB Activated Group, a coalition of professionals, youth leaders, entrepreneurs, and community advocates, emphasized its alignment with progressive national movements such as the The City Boy Movement. According to the group, its core mission is to translate government policies into tangible development outcomes through strategic partnerships and grassroots mobilization.
Highlighting Bayelsa’s vast human and natural resources, the group expressed readiness to collaborate with the Federal Government in key sectors including agriculture, energy, digital innovation, and human capital development.
“Bayelsa State stands ready to work with your administration. We are rich in human capital and potential, and we share your vision for economic diversification, youth empowerment, and infrastructural renewal,” the statement noted.
The group further pledged its commitment to fostering peace, promoting unity, and serving as a bridge between government institutions and grassroots communities to ensure that the dividends of democracy are widely felt.
“We will mobilize our networks, especially our vibrant youth structures, to support federal initiatives that drive job creation and skills development. We are committed to peace as the foundation of sustainable growth, and to progress that reaches every ward and household,” the group stated.
Commending the Tinubu administration’s strides in economic reform, security, and social investment, the OEB Activated Group expressed optimism that the President’s visit would catalyze increased federal presence in Bayelsa and unlock new opportunities for development.
“Mr. President, Bayelsa welcomes you with open arms and hopeful hearts. We believe this visit marks the beginning of a new chapter of strengthened federal-state collaboration for the benefit of our people,” the statement added.
The group concluded by reaffirming its loyalty to Nigeria and its commitment to nation-building, declaring itself “activated for service, development, and a greater Bayelsa State under a greater Nigeria.”
