The endorsement came on Friday in Warri, Delta State, during a consultation visit by Team T.K. Ogoriba to INC leaders, clan chairmen, and secretaries in the zone. At the meeting, delegates pledged their total support for Ogoriba’s candidacy in the forthcoming INC election.

Speaking on behalf of the All Clans Chairmen Forum, Hon. Forcados Edmund explained that the decision was rooted in the conviction that Elder Ogoriba possesses the vision and courage to step into the shoes of Elder E.K. Clark as the authoritative voice of the Ijaw nation.

“We are ready to stick our necks out for his election,” Edmund declared.

Echoing this stance, General Don Ben, National Youth Leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), described Ogoriba as a man of depth and resilience, well-versed in the Ijaw struggle and capable of uniting diverse interests. He praised his leadership qualities and long-standing commitment to the cause of the Niger Delta.

Responding on behalf of the campaign, Hon. Deo Doupere Kalsuo, former chairman of the INC Gbarain Clan, thanked the leaders for their endorsement. He assured them that Ogoriba’s leadership would energize the INC, strengthen its internal cohesion, and advance the collective agitation for Ijaw rights.

It was further noted that Elder T.K. Ogoriba and his team had earlier visited respected Ijaw leaders, including Lieutenant Gen. B.Y. Biakpara (Rtd.) and Chief Weliton Okrika, as part of wider consultations in the western zone.

With growing endorsements across the region, Elder Ogoriba’s aspiration appears to be gaining momentum, positioning him as a central figure in the next phase of Ijaw political leaders.
