Mbah gave the advice when he hosted the leaders of the group, led by the Director-General of the PMSG, Mr Emeka Ogbu-Nwobodo, in his residence in Enugu.

The governorship flag bearer lauded the group for its activities aimed at boosting his campaign and win the election.

“You are one of the first support groups that came into being and very active.

“I know it because you already know the things to do and have been doing it.

“You understand what it takes to get to the grassroots for mobilisation and you have to continue to reach out to the voting population,” he said.

Mbah described the effort by the support group to get people registered during the exercise carried out by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as very unique.

He added that it was the same with its contact with market men and women of Enugu State origin in various parts of the country.

“I am aware of the efforts you are making toward obtaining of the permanent voter cards by the electorate.”

The PDP candidate described the forthcoming elections in the country as very unique noting that it would be the first time that INEC would deploy its Bimodal Voter Accreditation Cards (BVAS) technology and machines in elections in Enugu State.

He said that the technology called for vigilance of the electorate and wished that a number of Enugu youths in his campaign team got involved to effectively monitor their use in the polling booths across the state.

“In the 150 days that campaigns will take place, ensure that you focus on issues that will bring greater development to our dear state,” he said.

Mbah urged the group made up of representatives from the local governments in the state as well as FCT and Lagos, not to relent in its efforts.

“I like the diffusion of collective know how of this group.

“We want people who are technology savy here to ensure that BVAS machines do not fail us on election day.

“With you, we know that we are on a journey of growth, greatness and development.

“The future we look forward to is right here before us and we will give you the support to succeed,” Mbah added.

Earlier, Ogbu-Nwobodo, and the Director, Campaigns and Activities committee of the PMSG, Dr Chukwuemeka Aroh, said that the reach of the support group which was already overwhelming would be intensified in all nooks and crannies of the state.

The group’s leaders said that the members were aware of the pedigree of the candidate and specifically mentioned his integrity and disposition toward providing more for the youth and women population of the state and making the state better for all.
