…OVER 500 CONSTITUENTS ATTENDED TO, PROVIDES FREE EYE GLASSES AND DRUGS FOR CONSTITUENTS

Hon. Rodney flagged off the medical outreach at the Amassoma Town Hall in Amassoma Community, Southern Ijaw Constituency 1, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State yesterday Monday, 26th August, 2024.
Hon. Rodney was ably represented by Dr. Isaiah Korikiye in his remarks stated that the program is sponsored and coordinated by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) in collaboration with the member representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria, with the aim of carrying out a diagnostic analysis and to find out the problems associated with our eyes noting that the eye is an important part of the body and if not taking critical care can affect the entire body.
He emphasized further that he took this initiative to work with the federal government through the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) in order to treat our people’s eyes by first examining those who have eye problems, identifying the issues, and offering medical diagnoses, medication treatment, and specially made medicated glasses for constituents.
While thanking Hon. Rodney for his significant contribution to grassroots development, the Acting Amananaowei of Amassoma Community, HRH, Chief Godwin Akedesuo, said that the gesture was a clear demonstration of Hon. Rodney’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for his people.
Chief Godwin Akedesuo praised Hon. Rodney and noted that the initiative is notable because it crosses the boundaries of the Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency, which is made up of four constituencies.
The outreach will continue again today for Day 2 in Amassoma community and will then proceed to Angiama Community in southern Ijaw constituency 2.
The free medical outreach will visit all four constituencies Southern Ijaw In designated communities respectively.
