This year’s edition of the event, themed “Why Democracies Die”, is being organized by the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The soft-spoken lawmaker shared his reflections on Facebook, stating:

“I was honored to join esteemed colleagues at the 2025 Democracy Dialogue in Accra, Ghana, at the invitation of President John Dramani Mahama.
The event, themed ‘Why Democracies Die’, brought together African leaders and development experts to discuss the challenges and prospects of democratic governance on the continent.”

Beyond the conference, Hon. Engr. Ambaiowei also engaged with students of Accra High School, using the opportunity to inspire the next generation about leadership and the values of democracy.
