Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Dr Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has been installed as the Pere Se Bobo of Ogu lingdom, by the Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers.

The Chairman of the Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs, Alabo (Hon) Barrister Lawrence Abiebiari Inibi Egbelekpeke, who led other chief-in cpuncil at the unique and colourful installation ceremony, said that Dr Samuel Ogbuku, was honoured for his numerous contributions to the development of Ogu Kingdom.
He said, “Today marks a defining moment in our Chieftaincy institution as we gather to install our brother, our son and our father as a chief of Ogu Kingdom, one whose life of service, leadership and commitment to the development of our people and the Niger has spoken louder than words”
Alabo Egbelekpeke said as a chief in Ogu Kingdom, Ogbuku becomes a full member of the Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs with all attendants rights and privileges enjoyed by every son of the Ogu Kingdom.




The NDDC Managing Director Dr Ogbuku, while acknowledging the commendation by the people of Ogu kingdom for the contributions of the NDDC in their Communities, thanked the Chiefs Council for the honour bestowed on him and promise to continue to work for the development of the Niger region.

The highlight of the occasion was the traditional participation in the Omuaru Boat Regatta.
