As part of his wide-ranging consultations ahead of the 2026 Ijaw National Congress (INC) presidential election scheduled for March 7, 2026, the campaign train of Prof. Franklin Erepamo Osaisai made a stop at Anyama Community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Prof. Osaisai was warmly received at the Anyama Modern Town Hall by a former Chairman of the INC Central Zone, Dr. Doodei Week, alongside his political family and loyal supporters.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Osaisai formally declared his ambition to contest the INC presidency and solicited the support of the INC Central Zone. He called on the people to rally behind his candidacy and turn out en masse to vote for him, pledging to lead the Ijaw National Congress towards a united, technologically empowered, and economically self-reliant Ijaw Nation.
He emphasized that his vision is anchored on visionary leadership, sustainable development, intellectual excellence, and an unwavering commitment to equity and justice within the Nigerian Federation.
In his response, Dr. Doodei Week described Prof. Osaisai as a stalwart of the Ijaw struggle and urged him to uphold inclusivity and collective progress when he emerges victorious, as widely expected.
Prof. Osaisai was accompanied on the visit by a retinue of notable Ijaw stakeholders, including Prof. Ambily Etekpe, among others.
