The Diri/Akpe Believers, Bayelsa State, under the leadership of its Director-General, Hon. Douyi Willy, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Engr. Rodney Ebikebina Ambaiowei, the APC candidate for the House of Representatives for Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency.

The visit, which took place in Yenagoa, was aimed at affirming the group’s total and unalloyed support for Hon. Ambaiowei’s bid to represent the people of Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the visit, the Director-General, Hon. Douyi Willy, described Hon. Ambaiowei as a credible, visionary and grassroots-oriented leader whose capacity and commitment to the development of Southern Ijaw and Bayelsa State at large are widely recognised. He noted that Diri/Akpe Believers, Bayelsa State, is fully aligned with the APC’s vision and is mobilising massively for the success of the party in the 2027 general elections.
In furtherance of the group’s commitment, the delegation formally requested that Hon. Ambaiowei serve as a Patron of Diri/Akpe Believers, Bayelsa State. In his response, Hon. Ambaiowei expressed his appreciation for the visit, graciously accepted the role of Patron, and pledged to work closely with the organisation to advance the interests and overall development of Southern Ijaw.
Also in attendance was the Southern Ijaw chapter executive of Diri/Akpe Believers, led by its Coordinator, Deacon Tobon Princewill, who delivered a goodwill and solidarity message on behalf of the chapter. The executive members reaffirmed their readiness to mobilise structures across all wards in Southern Ijaw for the victory of the APC and Hon. Ambaiowei.
The Diri/Akpe Believers, Bayelsa State, assured Hon. Ambaiowei of their continued support, prayers and grassroots mobilisation to ensure a resounding victory for the APC in Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency.
