The group also reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to its Grand Patron, former Acting Governor of Bayelsa State, Rt. Hon. Werinipere Seibarugu, passing a separate vote of confidence in his leadership, political foresight and ability to sustain a formidable political support base despite being outside public office for several years.

The resolutions were contained in a communique issued at an expanded meeting of the Dynasty tagged “The Gathering of the Structure,” where members deliberated on the political direction of the organisation, the developmental activities of the present administration and the need to strengthen their collective commitment to the political ideals of Rt. Hon. Seibarugu.

The Dynasty attributed its confidence in Governor Diri to what it described as his political will, courage and determination to embark on landmark infrastructural projects aimed at transforming the state and improving the living conditions of its people.

Among the projects highlighted were the 21-kilometre Nembe-Brass Road, Ekeremor-Agge Road, Yenagoa-Oporoma Road, Sabagreia-Polaku Road, including a bridge across Taylor Creek, and the Onopa-LNG Road, alongside other strategic infrastructure projects across the state.

The group also commended the establishment of science and technical schools in each of the state’s eight local government areas, describing the initiative as a significant investment in education with the potential to strengthen human capital development in Bayelsa.

On power supply, the Dynasty acknowledged the purchase and installation of a 60-megawatt gas turbine by the Diri administration, noting that improved electricity supply had enhanced business activities and the quality of life of residents. It also welcomed the administration’s reported plan to increase power generation capacity to 100 megawatts.

In a communique jointly signed by the Dynasty’s Coordinator, Mr. Ebiye Waripamo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Renewable Energy, and its Secretary, Comrade Ebisuobo Kaka, the group further praised Governor Diri’s peaceful disposition, inclusive leadership style and approach to governance.

Turning to its Grand Patron, the Dynasty passed a vote of confidence in Rt. Hon. Werinipere Seibarugu, commending his leadership capacity, political foresight and ability to sustain and mobilise a formidable political support base despite his prolonged absence from public office.

According to the group, the continued loyalty, commitment and enthusiasm of his supporters demonstrate the enduring goodwill and political influence he commands.

It maintained that sustaining such a strong political structure outside public office reflects the commitment of its members to the leadership and vision of their Grand Patron.

The members consequently reaffirmed their solidarity and commitment to Rt. Hon. Seibarugu’s political ideals, pledging to continue supporting his vision and working collectively towards the growth and success of the Dynasty.

On the forthcoming general elections, the group pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation, strengthen its political structure and mobilise support for its preferred political party, with the aim of securing electoral success.

The Dynasty also welcomed its new members and urged them to uphold the principles of loyalty, commitment, discipline and collective responsibility. It noted that building a formidable political organisation required patience, dedication and sacrifice, while assuring members that their contributions to the growth of the structure would be recognised and appreciated.

Furthermore, the group expressed appreciation to the Chairman of Yenagoa Local Government Area, Hon. Bulodiseye Ndiwari, and the member representing Yenagoa Constituency II in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Waikumo Amakoromo, for their consistent encouragement and contributions to the activities and growth of the organisation.

In his remarks as a guest at the gathering, Senator Konbowei Benson, representing Bayelsa Central Senatorial District, urged members of the Dynasty to continue supporting Rt. Hon. Seibarugu, whom he described as a politician with vision.

Senator Benson said he was not surprised by Seibarugu’s sustained political followership despite being away from public office for nearly fifteen years.

Recalling their days as colleagues in the Bayelsa State legislature, the senator described Seibarugu as a bridge-builder, noting that his leadership qualities and political relationships had continued to command respect and loyalty.

Rt. Hon. Werinipere Seibarugu, a former Acting Governor of Bayelsa State, was among the founding members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state and continues to play an active role in the state’s political landscape in his private capacity.

The meeting ended with renewed calls for unity, political mobilisation, mutual support and the advancement of the collective interests of the Dynasty and the people of Bayelsa State.
