Yenagoa – Governor Douye Diri on Saturday, warmly received the highly acclaimed Nigerian music star, Inetimi Odon, popularly known as Timaya, at the Government House in Yenagoa. Timaya, who hails from the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has achieved numerous accolades in his music career, making him a proud representative of our community.

Governor Diri expressed his delight in welcoming one of Bayelsa State’s own back home. “Timaya is a true son of our community in Sampou,” the Governor stated. “His success in the music industry has brought great honor to our state and the entire Ijaw Nation. We are proud of his achievements.”
Governor Diri also shared fond memories of Timaya’s upbringing and revealed that the music star expressed his commitment towards contributing to the development of Bayelsa State.
