The Member representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Rodney Ebikebina Ambaiowei, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Professor Millionaire Freeborn Nestor Abowei, the Amananaowei of Angiama Community, at his palace.

The visit formed part of Ambaiowei’s ongoing constituency consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, as he seeks re-election to the House of Representatives.
During the visit, the lawmaker expressed appreciation to the traditional ruler and paid tribute to the traditional institution for its role in promoting peace, unity and community development.
Ambaiowei also highlighted some of his constituency interventions in Angiama Community, including medical outreach projects and small and medium enterprise (SME) empowerment programmes.
Through these initiatives, several men and women in the community benefited from empowerment training programmes, with fishing nets and starter packs provided to support their livelihoods and economic activities. The interventions formed part of broader socio-economic support efforts aimed at improving the welfare of constituents.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Angiama Community and the wider Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency, while soliciting the continued support of the people as he seeks a renewed mandate to sustain his legislative engagements and constituency interventions.
He further reiterated his commitment to advancing the collective interests of his constituents through legislative oversight and interventions in critical areas, particularly education, employment, healthcare and economic empowerment.
The visit underscored Ambaiowei’s ongoing consultations with traditional rulers and community leaders across Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
