The meeting brought together party leaders, elders, women, youths and dedicated supporters to appreciate their steadfast loyalty and commitment to the APC, while reinforcing unity and grassroots mobilisation ahead of future political engagements.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Joanah Gigi commended party members for their resilience, unwavering dedication and sacrifices despite the political challenges they have encountered. She assured supporters that their loyalty and invaluable contributions to the growth and success of the party remain deeply appreciated and would never be taken for granted.

She emphasised that unity, discipline and sustained grassroots mobilisation remain the foundation of the APC’s continued growth and electoral success. The Commissioner urged members to remain steadfast, strengthen party cohesion and actively recruit more supporters as preparations gather momentum for future elections.
Also addressing the gathering, the First Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Chief Patrick Osunu, applauded the developmental strides of the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, particularly the construction and extension of the road to Otuan Community.

According to Chief Osunu, the original road project was not designed to terminate in Otuan. However, Governor Douye Diri directed that the project be extended into the community and further expanded to benefit more residents. He noted that the road has significantly transformed transportation in the area, enabling residents to travel conveniently with ordinary vehicles and tricycles instead of relying solely on four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Responding on behalf of the community, leaders of Otuan expressed profound appreciation to Governor Douye Diri for the numerous developmental projects executed in the area. They described the road project as a landmark achievement that has enhanced economic activities, improved access to markets, facilitated the movement of people and goods, and opened up new opportunities for social and economic development.

The community leaders reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Governor and prayed for God’s continued guidance, protection and wisdom as he continues to provide purposeful leadership for Bayelsa State. They also expressed confidence in his administration, describing his performance as impactful and people-oriented.

The engagement concluded with a renewed commitment by APC stakeholders, party leaders and members to deepen grassroots mobilisation, strengthen internal unity and build a formidable political structure capable of delivering greater electoral successes for the party in future elections.
