Expressing his excitement, Blankson said: “If I had another phrase to use, I would have used it, but the excitement is something that cannot be fully expressed. I am overexcited.”

Speaking on the group’s preparedness ahead of the 2027 general elections, he stated: “In law, we say facts speak for themselves. You have seen the massive support and what is on ground. It is a clear message that the City Boy Movement in Bayelsa is ready for Asiwaju come 2027. All those who will be elected under the platform of the APC—City Boy is APC and APC is City Boy. Therefore, the message is clear: we are ready to win in 2027.”

He further explained that the primary objective of the movement is to communicate government policies and programmes to grassroots communities. “That is why we have structures from the national level to zones, states, senatorial districts, constituencies, and down to the grassroots, reaching communities and places of residence, including the creeks,” he added.

On collaboration with other pro-government groups, Blankson noted: “If you look at our programme, we have the Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Bayelsa as part of it. That shows we are ready to synergise, collaborate, and work together to achieve a common goal.”

In a related development, Mr. Virus Ovie Amax, State Coordinator of OEB Activated, a non-governmental organisation affiliated with the City Boy Movement, described the event as a major milestone.

“Today marks the official inauguration of the Bayelsa State chapter of the City Boy Movement, led by the capable State Director, Hon. Barr. Osomkime Edwin Blankson. You can see the large turnout—it feels like a festival. That is the joy of having a good leader,” he said.

Blankson is known for his philanthropic efforts—supporting the less privileged and extending help to those in need across the state. That is why you are seeing this level of support today,” he noted.

Delivering his message to the Patron of the City Boy Movement, Seyi Tinubu, Amax said: “The crowd speaks for itself. Bayelsa should be recognised in national affairs. We are assuring President Tinubu of excellent votes—100 percent support for his second tenure.”
