Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, arrived at the State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja to observe the proceedings.

He entered the courtroom at around 10:15 am accompanied by a team of security personnel and supporters. Upon his arrival, Governor Diri was introduced by his lead counsel, Chris Uche SAN.
Currently, he is present for the objections raised by his legal team and others regarding a new application filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Timipre Sylva, requesting the Tribunal members to recuse themselves from further hearing their petition against the governor.
