Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! As the month of January 2025 winds down, I extend warm greetings to the wonderful people of Bayelsa State. This week has been particularly significant as I returned from a fruitful bilateral visit to Angola, where we made substantial progress on two groundbreaking projects aimed at transforming the landscape of our beloved State Capital, Yenagoa.
I am thrilled to announce the commencement of work on our two signature projects: the iconic 9-story Secretariat Complex and the state-of-the-art 25,000-seater ultra-modern Stadium. These initiatives are not just structures; they are milestones in our vision for development and prosperity in Bayelsa State.
The Secretariat Complex will serve as a hub for governance and administrative efficiency, allowing us to better serve the needs of our citizens. Meanwhile, the modern stadium will provide a venue for sporting events and community gatherings, fostering a spirit of unity and health among our people. Together, they play a vital role in our ambition to create a mega city that reflects the aspirations of our citizens.
I would like to express my gratitude to the Honorable Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Moses Teibowei, and his counterpart in Sports Development, Daniel Igali, for their dedication and commitment to these assignments. Your hard work and vision are essential to the success of our administration and the upliftment of Bayelsa State.
As we embark on this transformative journey, I urge all Bayelsans to rally together in support of our administration’s efforts. Your engagement, feedback, and collaboration are crucial in ensuring that these projects serve the general interest of our communities.
Let us move forward with optimism and resilience as we work toward building a brighter future for Bayelsa State. I wish you all a wonderful and prosperous week ahead.
Together, we can achieve greatness.
