Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Dr. Oliver Stolpe is due to proceed on his next posting after about six years in the country on his second assignment in Nigeria.
This weekend, I graced the invitation to a send-off party held in his honour at the United Nations Office in Abuja.
My path with that of the German crossed when I assumed office in year 2020. Since then, he has proven beyond doubt that colour does not matter.
Dr. Stolpe worked with us in Bayelsa State with so much commitment towards reduction of drug abuse and crime among our youths. The successes we achieved were largely due to his effort and immense support.
He is so honest, very daring and fearless as he traversed remote communities in our state in boats against possible travel advisory.
Thank you for the projects in Otuan, Ikebiri 1 and Ayamasa communities funded by the German government.
Great to cheer that the second phase of similar projects funded by the Danish government in Ekeremor main town and Ekowe communities is about to commence.
Oliver is a friend of Bayelsa State. And he has extended the relationship to the other Niger Delta states by introducing the community-based crime prevention strategies to the regional BRACED (Bayelsa-Rivers-Akwa Ibom-Cross River-Edo-Delta) Commission.
As he moves on, I salute the commitment of this remarkable diplomat to the development of our youths, our state, region and the country.
It is our wish that he makes more impact till we meet Oliver again.
Thank you for your friendship!
