As a veteran national labour leader, I have travelled and stayed in many parts of the country, and I can tell you that there is no state in Nigeria where politicians needlessly fight and distract their elected leaders as we have seen in Bayelsa State.

Thankfully, Senator Douye Diri has never stopped working since he came on board as the most vibrant Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, and now I see his focus on developing more of Yenagoa Capital City with several projects and opening up the state for more commercial businesses as he effectively commences his second term.

Indeed, Diri is committed to the development of Yenagoa, the capital city of Bayelsa State.

The connection of the Mbiama-Yenagoa Road to the new Glory Drive expressway, including the construction of standard bridges over the Epie Creek with roundabouts at various points, such as the ongoing project at the Imgbi Road Junction area of Amarata, and other previously abandoned link roads that should connect communities in the coastal parts of the Yenagoa Municipal Development Area to the Bayelsa International Airport – Amassoma Road, is a clear indication of the prosperity administration’s direction.
