The Amananaowei of Oporoma kingdom, HRH (Amb) Ayibakuro Peter Ogidi-Oke-Pere (IV), expressed the community’s gratitude to His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri and the people of Southern Ijaw for entrusting their son with this significant role. Keynote speakers emphasized the enormity of the responsibility and urged the celebrant to deliver impactful and unprecedented results.
Hon. Target Segibo, who has an impressive political background, was praised for his humility, steadfastness, and resilience. Amb. Godknows Boladei Igali, a former Nigerian ambassador, highlighted the importance of caution and urged the executive chairman to continue promoting the welfare of his people.
The celebration also featured entertaining performances by comedians and a traditional wrestling display by Chief Barrister S. Smooth. Dignitaries in attendance included royal figures, political leaders, colleagues of Hon. Segibo, captains of industries, and various youth and women groups.
