In a shocking turn of events, Chief Timipre Marlin Sylva, the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming November 11, 2023 governorship election in Bayelsa State, along with State Chairman of the APC Barr. Dennis Otiotio-Odoni and his Media Assistant Mr. Julius Bokoru have reportedly left the “Hot News” WhatsApp platform amid scandal.

The move came after accusations made by a former member of the House of Representatives Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, who accused Sylva of collecting N5 billion to betray Chief David Lyon’s governorship in 2019.
The accusations have caused shockwaves throughout the State as Sylva is a former governor and Minister of Petroleum (State) and a major opposition candidate for the upcoming November 11, 2023, governorship elections in Bayelsa State.
In response, Sylva has denied any wrongdoing and has called for an urgent investigation into the matter.
With such serious allegations being made against the candidate with election just by the corner, members of the party will undoubtedly face many challenges in the coming days and weeks.
