Igali Have Capacity To Elevate PANDEF’s Vision, Says Wellington Bobo

Populist High Chief Wellington Bobo, the Oroupawei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, inan emphatic endorsement, has lauded Ambassador Dr. Godknows Igali, the newly elected National Chairman of Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), as a leader with the insight capacity and expertise needed to advance PANDEF’s mission and drive meaningful progress for the Niger Delta region.

Dr. Igali succeeded Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien following a decisive election held at PANDEF’s General Assembly in Port Harcourt on October 24, 2024.

Speaking in Warri, Delta State, High Chief Bobo described Ambassador Igali as an esteemed figure who commands respect across diverse spheres due to his past roles, including his tenure as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Scandinavian nations. “Dr. Igali embodies the integrity and seasoned leadership PANDEF needs at this pivotal moment,” High Chief Bobo noted. “With his experience and vision, he is well-positioned to elevate PANDEF’s goals and steer its initiatives to new heights.”

Highlighting Ambassador Igali’s vast experience, High Chief Bobo expressed confidence in Igali’s ability to lead PANDEF with distinction and strengthen the organization’s role in advocating for the Niger Delta region. He advised Dr. Igali to foster close collaboration with key stakeholders, particularly Chief Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro, the Presidential Amnesty Administrator who is doing very well already to ensure the successful implementation of PANDEF’s 16-Point Agenda—a strategic blueprint aimed at addressing critical issues in the Niger Delta.

High Chief Bobo expressed optimism for PANDEF’s future under Dr. Igali’s leadership, asserting that the organization has selected “a round peg in a round hole.” He stressed the importance of focused efforts to alleviate the prolonged neglect of the Niger Delta, calling on President Bola Tinubu’s administration to expedite development initiatives in the region.

“The Niger Delta has waited far too long for equitable development,” High Chief Bobo remarked. “Any action from President Tinubu that accelerates progress for our communities will be most welcome.”

The elder statesman called on all leaders and stakeholders to come on board the development train that is been powered by Ambassador DR GodKnows Igali the newly elected PANDEF National Chairman and Chief DR Dennis Burutu Otuaro the Presidential Amnesty Program Administrator to join the both of them with renewed vigour and total commitment to the progress and accelerated development of the Niger Delta region in particular and Nigeria in general.

High Chief Wellington Bobo said in summation : “PANDEF leadership transition into a new chapter with Ambassador Igali at the helm, underscores the significance of cohesive, determined leadership in addressing the Niger Delta’s pressing challenges and fostering sustainable growth.”
