Addressing the council, Osaisai emphasized the critical role of traditional rulers in shaping the unity and progress of the Ijaw nation. He noted that his aspiration is driven by a deep commitment to reposition the INC as a stronger, more influential voice for the Ijaw people across Nigeria and beyond.
“I have come to seek your royal blessings and guidance as I embark on this journey. The wisdom and support of our traditional institutions are vital in ensuring that the INC remains united and focused on the collective aspirations of our people,” he stated.

Osaisai outlined key priorities of his proposed leadership, including strengthening internal cohesion within the INC, advocating for resource control, promoting youth empowerment, and enhancing the global visibility of the Ijaw nation.
Responding on behalf of the council, the chairman, HRM Elder Capt. Joseph I. Timiyan (JP) PhD, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, commended Professor Osaisai for his humility and foresight in engaging traditional rulers.
