The National Population Commission in Bayelsa State led the Hon. Federal Commissioner Mrs Gloria Izonfuo, mni, continued their advocacy visits to Traditional Heads in the three senatorial districts of the State.

Tounaregha, Mrs Izonfuo informed the traditional rulers that the 2023 Population and Housing Census would be conducted digitally using Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) instead of the traditional pen and paper method.
She also urged community leaders to sensitize their people to ensure maximum participation in the census.
HRH Tounaregha acknowledged the importance of the census and pledged his community’s commitment to ensuring accurate figures for Sagbama and Bayelsa State in general.
The Hon. Federal Commissioner also used the occasion to decorate HRH Tounaregha and other members of his traditional council with Census mufflers and pin-ups, designating them as Census ambassadors.
