Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Schools in Niger Delta region for several years, that ought to have been prioritised by the previous management team of acclaimed technocrat were neglected and abandoned. One of such area was digital learning in both Primary and Secondary schools which were in a deplorable state prior to the inauguration of Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The digital learning, which crumbled under the heavy weight of abandonment, was notorious for its younger generational infrastructural decay. Some school building had no roof to shield the students from the elements, no doors or windows to provide security for the students and teachers, and worst of all, no chairs and tables for the kids to learn. It was a prototype of education in the valley of death.
Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku has led initiatives to improve education in the Niger Delta region, including the distribution of U-Lesson tablets to schools.
However, during his Oath taking and subsequent swearing-in, Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku promised to inject life into educational system, thereby making impressive education accessible to the children of the immediate environment, while adding colour to the geography of the areas. True to his words, within the period, some facility have undergone a dramatic shift and incredible finale. Some dilapidated structure had been transformed into an enviable edifice with modern architectural features and learning materials.
The U-Lesson tablets are designed to improve student literacy and learning outcomes. This initiative has been a clarion call for better leaders to emerge with the sole aim to improve lives in society.
It is a new era of practical governance in NDDC, where people can feel the dividends of democracy across the board. Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku is redefining governance with his undeniable community development policy.
Students who once studied under inhumane conditions now smile at school with a focus on learning with renewed fervour. Also, the song of gratitude to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, has become the mouthpiece of all in the region.
This pragmatic approach is not just a milestone for the NDDC’s management team, but a symbol of progress for both urban and rural communities, which has earnestly desired the progressive governance that Ogbuku’s leadership now delivers.
The initiative is part of a collaboration between the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Renewed Hope Initiative of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu which has made possible to have a better learning environment for the younger generation in the region.
Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku has emphasized the need to prioritize digital learning to create equal educational opportunities in the region. This turnaround has brought joy to his admirers and cause pain to his unrepentant critics whose criticisms are always out of the radar of constructive engagement which add no value to societal growth rather been nuisance all time. Man’s greatest battle is the one he flights within himself. A wise man will like to adapt to his environment while a foolish man will like his environment to adapt to him.
It is a known fact that, No matter how long and windy the road is, it must take you to your destination. This has made possible by God for the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer to achieve these.
This is the Chief (Dr) Samuel Ogbuku we asked for!
