According to recent reports, the National Population Commission (NPC) has postponed the Local Government Level training for the 2023 Population and Housing Census, which was initially scheduled to commence on Thursday 13th April 2023 until further notice.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!A correspondent from Erevision MediaTV who was monitoring the arrival of non-sensitive materials for the 2023 Population and Housing Census in Bayelsa State has reported that screened applicants who are trooping to various LGA offices of the Commission for the exercise are advised to put their plans on hold as a new date would be announced by the Commission in due course.
In a press statement released by the NPC Director of Public Affairs Dr. Isiaka Yahaya, the postponement is due to emerging issues.
“We assure Nigerians that the Commission remains committed to conduct a credible and acceptable 2023 Population and Housing Census and that all preparations are in top gear”
“We advise the public to disregard any message contrary to this information. We regret any inconvenience this postponement may have caused the functionaries”, he stated.
