The representative also raised concerns about the federal government’s plan to provide electric buses or compressed natural gas (CNG) as palliatives to commuters. However, he emphasized that the National Assembly is not a money-making machine and stated his inability to fulfill all monetary requests from his constituents. Ambaiowei asked for understanding and reminded them that his priority lies in speaking on their behalf and addressing their problems.

When asked about other projects by way of oversight functions, Hon. Rodney Ambaiowei emphasized the need for development in Southern Ijaw. He highlighted the district’s potential for crude oil production, education, and tourism, expressing his intention to propose bills to promote growth and advance these areas.

The NASS representative of Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency assured his constituents that he would ensure a balanced equation, emphasizing that his focus was on moving the Federal Constituency to the limelight of Bayelsa State. He stressed that his responsibility extends beyond his own community and reiterated his commitment to the entire Ijaw nation.

In conclusion, Hon. Rodney Ambaiowei urged the Ijaw people to unite under organizations such as the Ijaw National Congress and the Ijaw Youth Council, with a shared goal of making the Ijaw nation great. He called upon all Ijaw governors to support the Governor of Bayelsa State Sen. Douye Diri, emphasizing the importance of unity for the advancement of the Ijaw people.
