Rodney Ambaiowei Urges Amassoma Community to Unite for Progress

The Honorable Member Representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Engr. Rodney Ebikebina Ambaiowei, is calling on the people of Amassoma to put aside biases and work together for the betterment of the community.

During a town-hall meeting with stakeholders on Sunday, Hon. Ambaiowei who spoke in his native Ijaw language, expressed his gratitude to those in attendance for prioritizing the meeting and taking part in the discussions. He emphasized the importance of unity in finding a peaceful resolution to the Amananaowei crisis and other constitutional concerns in Amassoma.

Hon. Ambaiowei implored the community to prioritize peace, as the well-being of everyone is at stake. He acknowledged the collective efforts of the Amassoma community in his own election to the House of Representatives and stressed the need to continue working together for the benefit of all.

The Congressman also emphasized the importance of respecting elders while fostering open-mindedness and cooperation in matters concerning the community’s development. He highlighted the potential consequences of disunity, emphasizing that it is innocent people and children who would suffer the most in the event of conflict.

The meeting also included a review of the minutes from the previous gathering, as well as discussions on the reports of the Constitution Review Committee and the Committee on Enthronement of Amananaowei of Amassoma. Various stakeholders participated in fruitful deliberations that lasted over three hours.

Hon. Ambaiowei concluded his remarks by urging the people of Amassoma to put aside their differences and work towards the progress of the community for the sake of present and future generations.

Aperetari Rose Ogugu, Elder Pereladei Apreala, Hon. Robinson Ere Erebi, Prof. Prince Akainga, Dr. Joseph Akedesuo, Senior Comrade Abaye Ambaiowei, Engr. Charles Ambaiowei, Dr. Isaiah Koriekiye, Chief Godswill Akedesuo, Chief Carpet Bates Tamkunu, Hon. Lovely Sogo, Dr. Yaibimi Ayogoi, Chief Douyi Naingba, Elder Eric Avi, Chief Priest Woyintari Agusi Godknows Akpakuru Taitai, Hon. Ezekiel Youngbo, and Barr. W. S. Ayogoi, were among the dignitaries present at the meeting, along with other respected members of the community.
