A high-ranking Russian parliamentarian and reservist General has warned that Russia plans to invade countries viewed as NATO’s “weakest links” using its mercenary army, Wagner.

This 60-mile strip of land is crucial to NATO and the EU, as it acts as the only ground link to the Baltic ex-Soviet republics of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
Russia views control of the Suwalki Corridor as an essential land link between the Banclave of Kaliningrad, the main base of Putin’s Baltic Fleet, and Belarus, a firm Kremlin ally.
The area has been labelled NATO’s “Achilles heel” or “soft underbelly” due to 877 sparsely populated nature.
