Two Chinese nationals were recently kidnapped from a road construction site in Kwara State, Nigeria, by armed bandits. The abduction occurred on Monday, December 2, 2025, though details only emerged publicly later in the week.

Details of the Incident
Victims:
Two Chinese nationals, identified in some reports as Mr. Sam Xie Wie (an investor) and a Nigerian worker, Mr. David Adenaiye, were abducted.
Location:
The incident took place at the BUA Bode Saadu–Kaiama–Kosubosu road project site in the Ejidongari district of Moro Local Government Area.
Perpetrators:
Masked and heavily armed assailants stormed the site, firing shots to disperse other workers and residents before taking the victims into a nearby forest.
Response:
The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the abduction and stated that tactical and intelligence-led operations are underway in collaboration with other security agencies and local vigilantes to secure the victims’ safe release.
As at the time of this reports, the victims’ whereabouts remain unknown, and no ransom demand has been officially confirmed by the police.
This incident adds to the growing wave of kidnappings and insecurity in the region.
