In a video now circulating widely on X (formerly Twitter), Barbir, a Florida-based missionary who leads the organization Building Zion, expressed outrage over the killing of residents he described as “innocent Christians.”

Speaking from Plateau State, he condemned what he called the continued persecution of Christians in parts of Nigeria.

“They just murdered over 10 people—innocent Christians on Palm Sunday. Tinubu, where are you as your people are slaughtered in the night?” he said.

Barbir accused the Federal Government of repeated inaction, alleging that attacks persist because authorities have failed to respond decisively.

“As you sit in Aso Rock and do absolutely nothing, you allow your people to be killed again and again,” he said.

“When will it stop? When will you hear the cries of Nigerians, of Christians? You can no longer deny genocide. They are being slaughtered, and you say there is no issue,” he added.

His criticism followed Sunday night’s invasion of Anguwan Rukuba in Jos North, where gunmen reportedly dressed in military uniforms opened fire on residents.

At least 12 people were confirmed dead, while several others sustained injuries.

Barbir is known for his humanitarian work in conflict-hit communities. He has reportedly helped rebuild more than 35 homes for victims of attacks in Benue State, particularly in areas affected by suspected militia violence.

Following the Jos attack, authorities imposed a 48-hour curfew in parts of Plateau State to stem rising tensions, with security presence heightened across affected communities.
