As Nigeria marks 65 years of independence and Bayelsa State celebrates 29 years of creation, the Member representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Rodney Ebikebina Ambaiowei, has extended warm felicitations to the nation and his home state, expressing optimism about the future and renewed dedication to his constituents.

In his goodwill message to commemorate the dual anniversaries, Ambaiowei applauded Nigeria’s resilience in the face of economic, political, and social challenges, noting that the country has continued to make meaningful progress across key sectors. He described Nigeria’s journey since independence as one defined by determination and the enduring spirit of its people.
He also lauded Bayelsa State’s strides since its creation 29 years ago, attributing much of its current development to the focused leadership of Governor Douye Diri. According to him, the state has continued to experience growth in infrastructure, human capital development, and peace-building efforts.
“As we celebrate these momentous occasions, I am excited about the prospects for our nation and state,” Ambaiowei stated. “With unity, effort, and dedication, we will overcome our challenges and build a brighter future for all.”
The lawmaker further reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency benefits from federal programs and interventions. He pledged to work tirelessly to attract projects that will enhance the welfare and development of his people.
