During the church wedding, the officiating minister urged Grace and Perekeme to build their home on the Word of God, avoid third-party interference, respect each other’s feelings, and embrace healthy communication.

The traditional marriage and reception took place on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Lady Daima Memorial Event Center. The Chairman of the occasion, Barr. Sambo, Special Assistant (Domestic) to Governor Douye Diri, represented by the Director General of the Bayelsa State Youth Development Center, Comrade Deacon Robert Igali, thanked God for uniting the couple as husband and wife.

He advised Perekeme to protect and provide for his wife and future children, and to pacify her when misunderstandings arise. He also encouraged Grace to always welcome her husband warmly and avoid being combative.

The spokesmen, Emmanuel Kuronakigha for the bride’s family and Alfred Ayah for the groom’s family, conducted the traditional rites in accordance with Agudama-Ekpetiama native laws, customs, and traditions, fulfilling all requirements listed by the Ayah family.

A memorable highlight was the cutting of the marriage cake after the couple counted down the number of children they hope to have.
